After a magical first act at The George Tavern, we are thrilled to be hosting the second instalment of Works In Progress at The Crypt Studio on Saturday 7th October. The brainchild of a certain Skydaddy, Works In Progress is a judgement-free space that celebrates the process of songwriting. The evening will comprise a coterie of wonderful writers sharing new and unreleased material. And, with each musician performing solo, these songs will be stripped back to the bare bones. No production quirks, no polishing. Just songs.
Works in Progress is about championing the timeless craft and creative process of songwriting: the daring ideas and inspired detours, the taking-the-risk and the following-your-nose. This is an evening where there is no wrong note, no bad lyric, no sloppy playing. Humming, mumbling, restarting, stumbling - all encouraged. Perfectionism is not.
This event will be recorded by our in-house engineers at The Crypt.
This e-ticket earns you admission to the intimate studio-recorded edition of Works In Progress, presented by Skydaddy. The ticket is a minimum £10 donation, with all proceeds going towards supporting the making and release of a live album. We really appreciate donations exceeding £10, and will honour our donors with acknowledgements in the album notes :)
